Chapter 71
In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust{H8804)}: let me never be put to confusion{H8799)}.
Deliver{H8686)} me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape{H8762)}: incline{H8685)} thine ear unto me, and save{H8685)} me.
Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort{H8800)}: thou hast given commandment{H8765)} to save{H8687)} me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
Deliver{H8761)} me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous{H8764)} and cruel man{H8802)}.
For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.
By thee have I been holden up{H8738)} from the womb: thou art he that took{H8802)} me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
Let my mouth be filled{H8735)} with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.
Cast me not off{H8686)} in the time of old age; forsake{H8799)} me not when my strength faileth{H8800)}.
For mine enemies{H8802)} speak{H8804)} against me; and they that lay wait{H8802)} for my soul take counsel{H8738)} together,
Saying{H8800)}, God hath forsaken{H8804)} him: persecute{H8798)} and take{H8798)} him; for there is none to deliver{H8688)} him.
O God, be not far{H8799)} from me: O my God, make haste{H8798)}{H8675)} for my help.
Let them be confounded{H8799)} and consumed{H8799)} that are adversaries{H8802)} to my soul; let them be covered{H8799)} with reproach and dishonour that seek{H8764)} my hurt.
But I will hope{H8762)} continually, and will yet praise thee more{H8689)} and more{H8689)}.
My mouth shall shew forth{H8762)} thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know{H8804)} not the numbers thereof.
I will go in{H8799)} the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention{H8686)} of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
O God, thou hast taught{H8765)} me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared{H8686)} thy wondrous works{H8737)}.
Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake{H8799)} me not; until I have shewed{H8686)} thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come{H8799)}.
Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done{H8804)} great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
Thou, which hast shewed{H8689)} me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken{H8762)} me again{H8799)}, and shalt bring me up{H8686)} again{H8799)} from the depths of the earth.
Thou shalt increase{H8686)} my greatness, and comfort{H8762)} me on every side{H8735)}.
I will also praise{H8686)} thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing{H8762)} with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
My lips shall greatly rejoice{H8762)} when I sing{H8762)} unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed{H8804)}.
My tongue also shall talk{H8799)} of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded{H8804)}, for they are brought unto shame{H8804)}, that seek{H8764)} my hurt.
