Chapter 45
To the chief Musician{H8764)} upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil{H8688)}, A Song of loves. My heart is inditing{H8804)} a good matter: I speak{H8802)} of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer{H8802)}.
Thou art fairer{H8795)} than the children of men: grace is poured{H8717)} into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed{H8765)} thee for ever.
Gird{H8798)} thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
And in thy majesty ride{H8798)} prosperously{H8798)} because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach{H8686)} thee terrible things{H8737)}.
Thine arrows are sharp{H8802)} in the heart of the king's enemies{H8802)}; whereby the people fall{H8799)} under thee.
Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Thou lovest{H8804)} righteousness, and hatest{H8799)} wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed{H8804)} thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad{H8765)}.
Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand{H8738)} the queen in gold of Ophir.
Hearken{H8798)}, O daughter, and consider{H8798)}, and incline{H8685)} thine ear; forget{H8798)} also thine own people, and thy father's house;
So shall the king greatly desire{H8691)} thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship{H8690)} thou him.
And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat{H8762)} thy favour.
The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
She shall be brought{H8714)} unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought{H8716)} unto thee.
With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought{H8714)}: they shall enter{H8799)} into the king's palace.
Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make{H8799)} princes in all the earth.
I will make thy name to be remembered{H8686)} in all generations: therefore shall the people praise{H8686)} thee for ever and ever.
