Spiritual Peace
Some peace in the Bible has little to do with calm circumstances. Isaiah writes, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee,” and the psalmist lies down at night in the same trust: “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep.” Paul begins from the root of it, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Psalms and Isaiah carry most of these verses. Psalm 4 is short and restful, and a good first stop.
