Bathing
Bathing in these verses is a sign of coming back. A man healed of an issue must “bathe his flesh in running water” and wait seven days before he is clean. The priest does the same on the Day of Atonement before putting on the holy garments. Whoever burns the red heifer bathes and is still unclean until evening. Leviticus 15 holds most of the instructions, and it rewards a slow reading.
