Old Testament

2 Samuel

24 chapters

Second Samuel is the story of King David's reign. He unites the tribes, makes Jerusalem his capital and receives God's promise of a lasting dynasty. Then comes his sin with Bathsheba, and the family troubles that follow, including his son Absalom's rebellion. The book shows a great king who was also deeply flawed.
