Issue of Blood
A woman had suffered bleeding for twelve years. In Matthew 9 and Mark 5 she comes up behind Jesus in a crowd and touches the hem of his garment. Her condition mattered for more than her health. Leviticus 15 describes how a woman with such a flow was set apart for a time, and anyone who touched her was unclean until evening. That helps explain why she approached him so quietly. The Gospels then show what happens when she does. Mark’s account gives the fuller picture, with Jesus turning to ask who touched him, so Mark 5:25 onward is a good place to start reading.

And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
