Ishui
Ishui is a name that shows up in two quite different families. In Genesis 46 and in the count of Numbers 26, a son of Asher is named Ishuah, Isui or Jesui, and his family is called the Jesuites. In 1 Samuel 14:49 Ishui is listed among the sons of King Saul, along with Jonathan and Melchishua, and two daughters named Merab and Michal. The spellings differ from verse to verse, which can be confusing, but the pattern is clear: Scripture counts households with care. If you read about Saul’s family, Jonathan is the son whose story is told at length, and Ishui is simply remembered with his brothers.
