Huz
Huz is another spelling of Uz, a name that belongs to a man and to a land. Genesis names an Uz among the sons of Aram, and another among the children of Dishan in Edom. Elsewhere the “land of Uz” is a place: Jeremiah lists its kings among the nations that must drink the cup of the Lord’s anger, and Lamentations addresses the daughter of Edom as one who “dwellest in the land of Uz.” The verses place Uz near Edom, but they do not say where its borders lay. Genesis 36 and Lamentations 4 show both senses of the name.
