Exchangers

In the temple courts Jesus found people buying, selling and changing money, and he acted. Matthew says he “cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves.” John adds that he made a scourge of small cords and “poured out the changers’ money.” The passages describe what he did, and the words he spoke follow in the next verse of Matthew. Compare Matthew 21:12, Mark 11:15 and John 2:15 and notice what each account includes.
