Salah
Hardly anything is told about Salah except who his father and son were. “Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber,” says Genesis 10:24. In chapter 11 he lives thirty years before Eber is born, then four hundred and three more years, with other sons and daughters. Chronicles spells his name Shelah, and Luke gives it as Sala in the list of Jesus’ ancestors. He is one link in the long chain that carries the story from Shem down toward Abraham, and the Bible keeps his place in it each time the chain is retold. Genesis 11:10 to 26 shows the stretch.

And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
