Separated, the second son of Reuben (1 Chr. 5:3); called Phallu, Gen. 46:9. He was the father of the Phalluites (Ex. 6:14; Num. 26:5, 8).
Pallu
Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, had four sons, and Pallu was one: “Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.” The same list is repeated in Genesis, Exodus and 1 Chronicles, and Genesis 46 spells his name Phallu. Numbers 26 adds that his household became “the family of the Palluites,” and that he had a son, Eliab. That is nearly everything Scripture says about him.
