Lameness
Few signs of God’s care in the Gospels are as plain as a man getting to his feet. When John’s disciples ask whether Jesus is the one to come, he points to the evidence: “the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk” (Matthew 11:5). Crowds bring the lame to him, and in the temple he heals those who come (Matthew 21:14). The letter to the Hebrews uses the same picture for the church, urging believers to “make straight paths for your feet” so that what is lame is not turned aside but healed (Hebrews 12:13). Matthew 15:29-31 is a good place to start.

Matthew
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
Hebrews
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
