Rock of the Almighty, the father of Shelumiel, who was chief of the tribe of Simeon when Israel was encamped at Sinai (Num. 1:6; 2:12).
Zurishaddai
Zurishaddai is mentioned only as a father. His son Shelumiel led the tribe of Simeon when Israel camped in the wilderness, and Numbers 2:12 names him as “the captain of the children of Simeon”. When each tribal leader brought gifts for the altar, Shelumiel came on the fifth day, and the record gives his offering in full: oxen, rams, goats and lambs. Nothing more is told about Zurishaddai himself, but the repeated phrase “the son of Zurishaddai” shows how carefully Numbers names the families behind each tribe.
