Shelumiel

On the fifth day of the tabernacle’s dedication, a prince of Simeon named Shelumiel brought his offering. Numbers 7 gives each tribal leader a day and describes every gift in nearly the same words, including “five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year.” Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai, is also named when the people were counted, when the camp was set in order, and when the host set out. He is a small figure who holds one place in a very orderly picture of Israel gathered around the tabernacle. Read Numbers 7:36-41.
