Kadmiel
Kadmiel was a Levite who helped in the work of restoring worship after the exile. Ezra 3 shows him with Jeshua and their sons, who “set forward the workmen in the house of God” as the temple was rebuilt. Years later in Nehemiah 9, the Levites, Kadmiel among them, stand on the stairs and call the people to “bless the LORD your God for ever and ever.” His name is a reminder that rebuilding was done by many hands. Nehemiah 9 gives the fullest picture.
