Evaporation
Where does rain come from? The Bible never uses the word evaporation, yet it describes the movement with plain wonder. “He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain.” Jeremiah repeats it twice, and Amos says the LORD “calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth.” These are not science lessons. They are praise: water rises, gathers, and falls again, and the writers credit God with the whole round. Psalm 135 is a short place to start.
