Three men share the name Elon, and each gets only a line or two. One is a Hittite whose daughter Bashemath became a wife of Esau. Another is a son of Zebulun, listed among Jacob’s family. The third is a judge: “And after him Elon, a Zebulonite, judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years” (Judges 12:11). The next verse records that he died and was buried in Aijalon, in Zebulun, and that is all the book says about him. Judges 12:11-12 is the whole account.

And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:
And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
And after him Elon, a Zebulonite, judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years.
And Elon the Zebulonite died, and was buried in Aijalon in the country of Zebulun.
