Eliphalet

One name, spelled two ways, belongs to a son of David and to a man named in Ezra’s day. Second Samuel 5 lists Eliphalet among the children born to David in Jerusalem, and 1 Chronicles 3 gives the same family with the spelling Eliphelet. Ezra 10 includes an Eliphelet among the sons of Hashum, a different man from a later generation. The passages give only the name and the family, with no further story. They are a small reminder that Scripture keeps careful records of ordinary households, including those with no recorded words or deeds.
