Dodo

Dodo is the father of two warriors in David’s company. Eleazar the son of Dodo is named in 2 Samuel 23:9 as one of the three mighty men who stood with David when the Philistines gathered to fight. Elhanan the son of Dodo, of Bethlehem, is listed among the thirty in 2 Samuel 23:24, and again in 1 Chronicles 11:26. The lists are brief and the father is only a name, yet they remind readers that David’s victories rested on many loyal people. Look at 2 Samuel 23 for the full roll.
