Dishon

Dishon belongs to the family tree of Seir, the Horites who lived in the hills of Edom before Esau’s people. Genesis 36 uses his name twice in a list of chiefs: “Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.” It also names him as a son of Anah, with a sister called Aholibamah. First Chronicles repeats the line and adds his sons, “Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.” That is all Scripture says of him. He is one name in a long record of families that the Bible bothers to keep.

Genesis 36:21

And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

Genesis 36:25

And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.

Genesis 36:30

Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.
