Curiosity
Wanting to know more shows up in Scripture in several lights. Proverbs 27:20 says “the eyes of man are never satisfied.” Herod, hearing reports of Jesus, asks “who is this, of whom I hear such things?” and “desired to see him” (Luke 9:9). Peter says the good news is something “the angels desire to look into” (1 Peter 1:12). These few verses give no verdict on curiosity itself. They simply show the longing to see and understand reaching kings, ordinary people and even angels, which may be a gentle reason to keep reading.
