Binnui is a name carried by more than one man in the post-exile books. One Binnui, “the son of Henadad,” repairs a stretch of Jerusalem’s wall “from the house of Azariah unto the turning of the wall” (Nehemiah 3:24). Another is among the Levites who return with Jeshua and Kadmiel, “over the thanksgiving” (Nehemiah 12:8). A third is listed in Ezra’s roll of those who had married foreign wives (Ezra 10:38). The three pieces show different sides of the same community: working, worshipping and repenting. Nehemiah 3 is a good place to start.

After him repaired Binnui the son of Henadad another piece, from the house of Azariah unto the turning of the wall, even unto the corner.
