Beth-Hogla

Bethhogla belongs to the border lists in Joshua. The line between Judah and Benjamin climbs “up to Bethhogla” (Joshua 15:6) and, seen from the Benjamin side, runs “to the side of Bethhoglah northward” until it reaches the north bay of the salt sea (Joshua 18:19). It is also named among the cities given to Benjamin, beside Jericho and the valley of Keziz (Joshua 18:21). That is all the text says about it, but it shows how carefully the land was described. Joshua 18:11-28 lays out Benjamin’s share.
