Illustrious, the tenth judge of Israel (Judg. 12:8-10). He ruled seven years.
Ibzan
After Jephthah, Israel was judged by a man from Bethlehem named Ibzan. The account is only three verses long. He had thirty sons and thirty daughters, sent his daughters abroad in marriage, and brought in thirty wives from abroad for his sons. He judged Israel seven years, then died and was buried at Bethlehem. Nothing is said of a battle or a rescue, which sets him apart from the judges around him. The record is brief and plain, and it still lets the reader see a man whose household was large and whose rule was peaceful enough to leave no story. Judges 12:8-10 holds all of it.

And after him Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel.

And he had thirty sons, and thirty daughters, whom he sent abroad, and took in thirty daughters from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years.

Then died Ibzan, and was buried at Bethlehem.
