Broth
Gideon carried a pot of broth out to a stranger under an oak. The angel told him to lay the meat and the unleavened cakes on a rock and pour out the broth (Judges 6:19-20), and what follows turns his meal into an offering. Other pots appear in these verses: Elisha has pottage made for the sons of the prophets in a time of dearth (2 Kings 4:38), and in Ezekiel 24:5 a boiling pot with the choice of the flock becomes a picture for Jerusalem. Judges 6 is the clearest place to start.

Judges
And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
2 Kings
And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
Ezekiel
Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.
