Old Testament

Hosea

14 chapters

Hosea is told to marry a woman who will be unfaithful to him, and his heartbreak becomes a living picture of God's love for unfaithful Israel. The book moves between warning and tenderness, and ends with an invitation to return: "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely."
