Old Testament
Ecclesiastes
12 chapters
Ecclesiastes is the reflection of "the Preacher" on the meaning of life. He has tried wisdom, pleasure, work and wealth, and finds them all "vanity," a breath that slips away. Yet he also commends enjoying food, work and companionship as gifts from God, and he concludes: fear God and keep his commandments.
